When I was just a little girl!

I use to love watching old movies,I loved the old Doris Day movies especially,and I would pretend I was Doris and my sister would be Debbie Reynolds.I loved the dresses of the day and she was always dressed up.I found some pictures of her modeling dresses such as I remember.

Autumn's Surgery

If you don't like medical pictures turn away from the blog.Gallbladder on left,it is the whitish looking thing in the middle and the picture to the right is the uterus.Weird!Surgery went well,but she was feeling a lot of pain before I had to leave.I hated leaving before she had the go ahead to go home,but I didn't have a babysitter for Grandma after 12:30.I haven't heard anything from them since,but I don't think they have left the hospital yet.

Moving Day!

After I came home from Pak Meeting with the family and we were getting the kids bathed and ready for bed,my Mom came out with her apron folded up and a pen tied to the apron strings,she acted like she had a question,so I asked " what's up Mom" my Mom said"I feel sorry for my dolls because they need their diaper changed.I told her I think they will be ok, if you just put one of your little towels on them.She thought that was a good idea and headed back to her room. Aaron laughed as soon as she left,he knew something good was going to happen when she started carrying around her doll like a baby.Then after we got all the kids in bed Amber called and wanted me to get on skype to talk to her and Emily.When I was waiting for her to call me back and tell me when to get on, my Mom came kept coming out acting strange,so I finally went to her room to check it out and her clothes were all over the place in piles.I asked her what all the clothes were doing all over the place and she said"Aren't you taking my clothes over to the other house?I said what house?"the other house"I asked her why she thought we were moving?she said"you've been talking about it." Weird I haven't been talking about moving at all.That is the last thing I want to be doing. She keeps talking about this other house.I don't know of any other house we live in.I did put up all her clothes and put her into bed and I made sure she was understanding me,so she didn't get up and get ready to move again. I assured her she has been in this house for 3 years.Then I would ask her questions to see if she was getting what I was saying. The last thing she said to me be for I left the room was "what do I do with these,pointing to her mouth(she can never remember the word teeth)" I told her they were in her denture box soaking and she could put them on tomorrow morning,when I told her it was morning"Then I said good night ,I love you.She was in bed for the duration of the night,whew!

I took this picture after Kaden got home from the ER.He took this little bear with him to the dentist the next day to soothe him. It ended up painless at the dentist so he was very happy!

A little excitement!!

My Mom was at her best the other day when we were at a Doctors apt.She decided to walk across the street to borrow scissors from our neighbors,only she got caught after she closed the door.Aaron had to run after her and she tried to shew him off with her cane and walked faster and nearly got run over by a car that was passing by. She ran off again and Austin caught her and then they put a couch in front of the door.That same day I came home and was making dinner and my Mom came in and asked me something weird about her efferdent tablet she had in her hand, I asked her if she had it in her mouth and she said yes,I asked why and she said she was hungry.I asked her why didn't she come in and ask to get something to eat. So I ended up calling the poison control center. It is dangerous,but not lethal.What a night. Then last night,while making dinner Kaden and Alden were in a chase mode, and Kaden jumped off the couch to catch him and hit a book case, and slit his lip open.I made Steve look at it and he thought it looked bad enough to take him to the emergency room. So he went into the one down in Eagle and got right in and out. They said Steve did all the right stuff,ice and pressure.He knocked his teeth loose. I took him to the dentist today and they said they may die,and they may not,we will have to wait.Wow!!

Better late than never!

What A Beautiful Day!

I woke up to a crisp sunny fall day, so I took a picture of the East and then I turned to see the west and here come the clouds,but I enjoy the brief sunshine and then I feel all cozy in the house as the clouds roll in.

Monday's and laundry

It's the funniest thing, I hate laundry and yet I have to make sure there is never more then a load in one basket at night.I do this to myself and I need to have a talk with myself or get a laundry fairy. (Kids don't count). The laundry you see in my picture is the folded clothes from Sat.the very last of it, and yet my baskets are full once again.I do however love the scent of clean laundry, and love to be outside and smell someones dryer from a distance. Then I think wow, someone else has laundry too.If I had more, extra money I would have a different pick of laundry softeners and dryer sheets,I am pathetic. I said it myself.I should be on commercial for some detergent company,I do 4 loads a day,except Sunday and that always kills me.

6 Parent teacher conferences!

We did it! We managed to get to every teacher, except the one teacher at High School that left a note that she was sorry she couldn't make the evening conferences.It was actually a very positive experience. Every teacher said very nice things about my children and they are all doing very well. However it is still exhausting to do this. Probably because I leave Grandma with the kids and she was a little loopy. When we came home for lunch in between conferences Mom came into the kitchen and was standing there so I asked her what was up, and she told me that she had just got back from her other house and she had fallen going up the stairs to go get her typewriter stand.I asked Katelynn what happened and she said Grandma came out of her room because she was mad at the paper towels because it messed up the TV.She said she told Grandma she couldn't go upstairs and of course my Mom was mad about that. The guys were over after there football game and enjoyed all the stories from Grandma.

Election Day Blues!

I of course did not want the election to go the way it did. I just have to hope and have faith that all will be well. I told Steve to turn off the T.V.so I could go to bed,because we get up at 5:30am to walk,but he turned it on another station while I was getting ready for bed and he was doing something on facebook.I looked up and it was the BYU station and Sheri Dew was speaking at the women's conference 2008(Awake,Arise and come unto Christ), It made me stop thinking about the state of our government and made me evaluate my state. It is such a good talk. I felt peace when I went to bed. I would of copied it for all of my friends but you can't get the written word,you have to listen or watch it on the computer under BYUtv and search talks.It is well worth it.

When I get older?

This morning when I was getting breakfast for the kids and getting them ready for school, Kaden was asking me if he could cook when he gets older and I said"you can cook for me all the time when you get older" and then he said,"I'm going to get Dad a red car because his car is broken."I said"he will love that".Then he left the counter and I could hear Kaden talking to Alivia" Alivia I can buy a princess dress and glass slippers for you when I get older" Alivia said"yes,"Then Kaden told her he could drive her in his car and drive Mom everywhere.He asked if little Emily will throw things at him when he is older and she is two. I said "maybe".They said more that I wish I wrote down, it leaves my mind so quickly.

There was a climbing wall, and it wasn't easy.The kids were very proud to have climbed any part of it.So here are the pics of the group of kids and some climbing pics.

Halloween Gathering

We had a great time last night,thanks to everyone. The Bruggers hosted a little get together and it was good food and great fun and pretty quiet considering all of the kids and all of the sugar flowing. I left my camera at Aprils house so no pictures to post yet.Thanks for such great friends.I think this is my Mom's favorite holiday with all the candy.
I'm very sad today,because Raul and Autumn are moving out. I hope they still come over a lot.Autumn keeps me company and makes me laugh. I hate that she is so sick. I wish I could do more for her.I love you Autumn.
